On Oct. 25, during the consortium's annual workshop, seven WebMBA faculty members were awarded the Kenneth L. Stanley Outstanding WebMBA Faculty Award. The award is voted on by WebMBA students and presented to one professor in each cohort who students determine had the most positive impact on their learning experience during their studies.
This year, seven faculty members were presented with awards for cohorts 109 through 115. Those faculty members are, in order of cohort: Dr. Dwight Sneathen, Ph.D., of Georgia Southern University; Dr. Mehrnaz Khalaj Hedayati, Ph.D, of Georgia College & State University; Dr. Canan Mutlu, Ph.D, of Kennesaw State University; Dr. Mark Hanna, Ph.D, of Georgia Southern University; Dr. Doug Moodie, Ph.D, of Kennesaw State University; Dr. John Harris, Ph.D, of Georgia Southern University; and Dr. Stephanie Hairston, Ph.D, of Georgia Southern University.
“These faculty are absolutely deserving of this recognition,” says Dr. Allen Amason, WebMBA Lead Dean and Dean of Georgia Southern University’s Parker College of Business. “All of our professors are highly qualified online instructors as well as experts in their field. It comes as no surprise that we have faculty earning this award who represent all different disciplines as well as various universities in the consortium.”
The WebMBA is an AACSB-accredited, team-based Master’s in Business Administration consortium online program created in 2001. Seven colleges of business from the University System of Georgia work together to deliver the WebMBA. The consortium includes Augusta University, Columbus State University, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University, University of West Georgia, and Valdosta State University. The WebMBA admits students from anywhere in the world with no out-of-state tuition for Fall and Spring semester starts. Students complete the program in five consecutive semesters.
